Rio de Janeiro Packing Guide
| 1. Clothes |
Summer (Nov. - Feb.): Summer temperatures range between 80°F - 95°F.
DAY: Do not forget your bathing suit and take plenty of shorts as well as some
flip flops. Also, take some comfortable tennis shoes to walk around in during the
day. PLEASE DO NOT DRESS LIKE A TOURIST (i.e. Fanny pack, Hawaiian shirt, etc.)
NIGHT: Since we will be taking you to Rio’s hottest clubs, you will have to dress
to impress. Take a couple of slacks, jeans, social shoes and some nice shirts (i.e.
muscle tees, long sleeve/short sleeved dress shirts, or polo’s). Nightlife gear in Rio is laid
back during the summer. As long as you have a nice shirt, decent shoes, and
jeans, you will be fine. PLEASE NO SANDALS, TENNIS SHOES, or T-SHIRTS.

|
Winter (Jun. - Aug.): Winter temperatures range between 65°F - 80 °F.
The same applies to Summer Clothes, but you will need to take a couple of
sweaters and a light jacket. Also, pack a light nylon rain jacket because it does
rain more in the winter.

however much you want to spend each time you leave your hotel along with
one credit card and your ATM card. ALWAYS STORE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS, TRAVELERS’ CHECKS, & EXTRA CASH IN YOUR ROOM’S SAFETY
DEPOSIT BOX.
Average spender: US$ 50 a day (restaurants and street food, beers at the beach, and nightlife)
All-Out spender: US$ 100 a day (nicer restaurants, optional tours, drinks at the beach, & nightlife)
