Athens:
Athens is the largest city and capital of Greece. It is one of the oldest cities in the world with a history that spans over 3,000 years. It is a huge cosmopolitan city with a population of about 11 million people and the hub of all tourist packages that depart to the Greek Islands. Starting with the 2004 Summer Olypmics, Athens has been going through a radical transformation and becoming a very modern and chic tourist destination. You can literally find 3000 year old temples and modern rooftop lounges spinning house music within blocks from each other making for a very cool mix of old and new. The main site to see in Athens is the Acropolis. It is the most famous ancient monument in Europe and an amazing place to visit. An Acropolis means "a hill" or hill city to be more exact that contains such monuments as the ancient Parthenon.
Mykonos:
Mykonos is part of the Cyclades islands group in the Aegean Sea. It is only about a 3 to 4 hour ferry ride from Athens and along with Santorini, one of the most famous and popular Greek islands that attracts thousands of visitors every year. The island is famous for its great nightlife which is often compared to Ibiza, as well as its distinct picturesque architecture (whitewashed houses, blue domed churches and sparkling deep blue waters) and wide range of luxurious hotel accommodations. Mykonos has many awesome beaches to offer - everything from beautiful chill beaches to party beaches such as Paradise and the rowdy "anything goes" Super Paradise beach. In one sentence, "Mykonos is simply Amazing!"
Santorini:
Santorini is one of the most scenic and beautiful islands in Greece if not the world, according to many tourists and publications. It is also accessible only a few hours from Athens via a ferry and one of the most popular Greek islands to visit. The island is what you would imagine an ideal exotic Greek Island to be whitewashed buildings with blue domes overlooking deep blue waters and a small typical Greek village feel. The island is famous for its natural scenerery and nightlife, which his very solid, although not as crazy as Mykonos. Santorini has more to offer than just famous sunsets and iconic buildings. It has several cool little towns/villages such as Thira and Oia which each have cafes, bars. lounges and many great places to eat. Santorini also boasts a wide variety of beaches including some with deep blue waters all the way to ablack volcanic lava beach. Overall, Santorini is a "must" in any Greek Island package.

Not only do you get to join a group of people, but we have everything already arranged for you when you arrive in Greece. We focus on every aspect of your vacation as far as inspecting all of the hotels, making sure you get into the hottest parties, and making sure you get everything out of your vacation. For this particular trip, we have TGW Staff Members on location in each destination so you are guaranteed a Vacation of a Lifetime!
The Landscapes – The landscapes are different and so travel to Greece means getting a chance to take in the mountains and even enjoy the wonderful seacoasts. There are many spellbinding views to enjoy as you travel from one part of the country to the other. What’s more, Greece has its own rich as well as ancient culture that is also reflected in its excellent architecture, and taking in some of the excellent historical remains is one of the reasons why travel to Greece remains so popular.
The Beaches – With 13,676 km of coastlines, one will definitely find the beaches of his dreams: there are long white sandy beaches with turquoise crystal waters, small beaches surrounded by huge cliffs or pine and palm trees forests, beaches with waters that seem to have had their blue colour mixed with beach, creating an amazing shade. The Greek beaches, though, distinguish not only for their natural beauty but also for their cleanliness. Note that almost every year Greece is ranked by the Blue Flag Programme among the top three countries with the best quality coasts.
The Nightlife – Partying all night is another reason to visit Greece. The country is well-known for its vibrant nightlife, particularly in its capital city, Athens, and in the island of Mykonos where the party can go on until sunrise. During the summer, most of the parties take place at the seaside, where you can start the evening with a stroll and cap it with watching the glorious sunrise…if you’re still on your feet, that is.
Archeological Sites –Many people visit Greece just for its ancient monuments, which, for the civilization they represent, is reason enough. Indeed, though in ruins, each monument holds a charm of its own, transporting visitors back to a glorious age of gods and heroes. The most impressive and important monument of ancient Greece, the Parthenon, can be found in the Athens Acropolis, where you can also find the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erectheion, while the largest Greek temple, the Olympeion or Temple of Olympian Zeus can be found just outside.
The Weather –June has perfect weather, sunny and warm 80 degrees (27 °C) with little clouds or rainfall.
The Food - Greek cuisine is one of the healthiest in the world, with olive oil, wine, feta cheese and vegetables like eggplant and zucchini as the most popular ingredients, although seafood, meat and poultry dishes are abundant, too. Popular Greek specialties include Gyros (roasted meat), Souvlaki (meat on skewers), Baklava (phyllo pastry dessert), oven-baked lamb with potatoes and Greek Salad, which is basically a tomato salad with feta cheese, olives, red onions, cucumber and olive oil dressing, while wine and beer are common drinks – all of which you can sample at various restaurants when you visit Greece.
Group Experience – Whether you are traveling by yourself or with a group of friends, this is definitely a very cool trip because you will meet people from all over the world. Everyone is there for one main purpose – to have a great, non-stressful time!

So expect people dancing on the bar, throwing napkins, and offering you shots of Ouzo, Greece's most popular drink!
Typically, the party does not get started until 11pm or midnight. Bars and cafes stay open until late at night and offer all kinds of music, from Greek and international pop, to trance, alternative rock, jazz, Latin and hip hop. Every corner of every street has its own bar and café so you can get your pre-party on.
Night clubs can be found everywhere and remain open until 6 or 7 AM. Athens:
The nightlife in Athens is just as hot or hotter than many of the top party cities in the world. It is up there with New York, London & Miami. One thing is for certain. You won't find more restaurants, bars, discos and clubs in a smaller area than you will in Athens. One of the problems with the nightlife in Athens and why the TGW Service is key, is that the nightlife changes immensely, the best clubs are hard to find, & Athens is a big city, meaning it's very easy to get lost. A unique cultural phenomenon in Athenian nightlife is the migrating of venues according to season. In Athens, one venue or club usually has two "homes" or addresses; a summer home and a winter home. Summer or winter, the clubs host leading DJs and feature the latest and greatest in their genre: hip hop, R&B, soul, rap disco, funk, rock and Greek. Many of the summer venues are located on the outskirts of Athens (20 - 30 minute drive from your hotel) along the coast in Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni, taking advantage of the breathtaking sea views. It's good to have a local with you because if you ask a taxi driver or your hotel concierge, they will take you to the clubs that give them commission or free drinks.
Mykonos:
Mykonos is Greece's party island during the summer. If you want to party for 24 hours straight, you can do it in Mykonos - hit the beach parties during the day, head to Mykonos Town to watch the sunset, have dinner and party at night and if you want to keep on partying there are several options for after hour spots that open at 3:00AM and go through the morning/afternoon hours. As far as Mykonos partiers - celebrities, politicians, beautiful people and ordinary mortals all flock here to see and be seen at the glitzy "anything goes" clubs for which the island is world famous for. During the summer all the clubs/bars will be packed. With the TGW Service, you will know the best places to go to each night and skip the lines.
Santorini:
Although it is not as crazy as Mykonos, Santorini's nightlife is one of the best and most sophisticated of the Greek islands. Fira, the island's capital, is the hottest spot for nightlife - many bars and cafes are actually on the caldera and the large clubs, are tucked into the quaint cobbled streets weaving through the town. Fira is not the only spot for nightlife. You will be able to find bars, cafes, clubs & beach clubs in Oia, and in the two major beach resorts, Kamari and Perissa. A key thing about Santorini is that clubs always change from one season to the next. A club that was good in 2008 will most likely not be good the next year. With the TGW Party Service, you will be guaranteed to be at the hottest spots all summer.
By traveling with Tours Gone Wild, your nights are already set. As far as daily activities, Greece has a lot to offer. Chilling on the Beach, Relaxing, or taking one of the Optional Excursions we offer.

Next we will visit the Monastery of Profitis Ilias which is at the highest point on Santorini and spans to 1,856 feet at the summit. From here you can see the surrounding islands and, on a clear day, the mountains of Crete, more than 100 km (66 mi) away. We will make a photo stop for about 15min.
At a distance of 10 km away from Fira at the Southwest, you will find Megalochori. Its name in greek means "big village". Typical traditional cycladic houses, neoclassic buildings and small houses dug in the volcanic rock blend together with harmony. There are also the typical small white churches, some of them with their blue domes. Our free time there will be 1/2H.
At Perissa we stop for about 2H. A feature that makes Perissa unique (besides the crystal water and the smooth sand) is the fact that is the best protected beach from the summer Aegean winds. Here you can there have lunch (which is not included in the price).
Our last stop will be In the Wine Promotion Center, which offers: -A guided tour in Santo Wines winery, where one can see the whole wine making process, from the moment of grape pressing up to bottling. -A visit to the aging cellars where one can feel the atmosphere created from the combination of the barrels wood with the wine which is in the process of aging. -A taste of wines. The next destination will be Oia, where we will enjoy the magnificient sunset.
Caldera Oia Tour Destination: Santorini Type: Must See Price: 50 Euros Minimum: 1 person
We leave the port of Athinios every day to embark on the traditional boat for our visit of active craters of the volcano on the top of the island of Nea Kameni, in Greek means "new burnt"... where we will stop for about 1 1/2 H. Then we sail to Palea Kameni, “old burnt”, where thermal springs provide natural warm-water bathing. While the surrounding water and beaches may be cold, and winds can be daunting. Our stop will be about 30m.
Next destination will be Thirassia which is a typical cycladic village with a way of life as it used to be before the invasion of tourism. Tiny houses of various colors give a special character to these small settlements. It is an ideal place to taste some of the traditional plates of Santorini (lunch is not included in the price), to swim or to discover the simple village of Manolios by donkey. Here our stop will be about 1 ½ - 2H.
When we arrive in our last destination the assistant will inform you about the pick up point and the time that our buses depart (depends on sunset time) . The village is approximately 150 meters above sea level. This distance covered or walking the traditional steps on feet (250 steps) or by donkeys.
Oia was severely damaged in the 1956 earthquake and much work has been involved to implement its restoration. The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed. In fact, it is almost impossible to describe in words. Small white houses tier the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red. Oia is one of the most photographed places in Greece. It has inspired artists, poets and every visitor who visits Santorini. Oia is best known for breathtaking sunsets; if truth be told, sunrise in Oia is also magical. In Oia there are two types of dwellings, the cave houses dug into the volcanic rock on the Caldera cliffs, and the Captains houses. The cave houses used to be the homes of ship crews, whereas the Captains houses belonged to the affluent class of ship owners. Many of the churches in Oia were dedicated to sailors. The time to go back has come. We will disembark at the port of Athinios with the greatest of memories.
