Semana Santa in Cartagena is one of the busiest times of the year for this port city. Locals from all over the country and Colombians from all over the world head to Cartagena to relax on the beach and party the night away. It's definitely one of the best times to visit Cartagena because the beaches are packed as well as the clubs.

The Colombian universities have off during June and July, so tons of students flock to Cartagena for vacation. A lot of Young Professionals throughout Colombia also take off during this time. This time period is full of beach parties, concerts, and incredible nightlife. Colombia's Independence is also on July 20th and the city erupts in crazy parties.

This time period is when Colombia celebrates its national treasure. No we are not talking about the little white powder, but the most beautiful women from all over the country compete to be crowned Miss Colombia. Colombia's National Beauty Pageant is held in Cartagena the second week of November. That week is absolutely nuts as the city erupts in Exclusive Parties, Parades, Beach Events, and the Best Nightlife in the country. The hottest clubs from Colombia actually close shop in their cities and throw huge parties in Cartagena.

Ultramar is considered one of the largest Electronic Festivals in Latin America. It's the first and only Electronic Festival of its magnitude in Colombia bringing the best DJs from around the world, as well as local acts. In 2008, the headliners are Armin Van Buren, Sasha, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Marco V, and many more. The festival has improved year after year, so expect a better lineup in 2009.
