South Beach is considered by the Travel Channel as the sexiest beach in the world. It is both popular with American and International tourists. You will find a lot of jet-setters from the US traveling to South Beach for the weekend or in the winter to get away from the cold. Also with the weak dollar, European tourists have made South Beach their #1 destination when traveling to the US.
South Beach is the considered the first 23 blocks of Miami Beach. The heart of south beach is Ocean Drive. It is one of the best places in Miami to people watch and located next to the beach from Fifth to 14th street.
Sobe is steamy by day and sultry by night making it a place to live large and party like a rock star and with them. Lenny Kravitz, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Shakira are just a few that own homes in Miami and every week famous celebrities will host party nights at one of the many posh clubs. |

Non-Stop Party Scene:
Miami's nightlife is non-stop. According to popular news media, Miami has replaced New York & Los Angeles as the premier party spot in the US. It doesn't matter what kind of scene you are in because South Beach has it all.
It is host to more than 150 clubs and other venues, most of which close at 5am.
On weekends, a few of the upscale hotels have incredible pool parties, not to mention the beaches are packed with beautiful people. Great Weather:
Miami has always been lucky to benefit from incredible weather throughout the year. When most of the US is shoveling snow from their doorways, people in Miami are soaking up the sun on the beach. In the winter, the average weather is between 60 & 75 F as opposed to the summer, when temperatures can get into the mid 90's.

South Beach has been named by many as one of if not the best beach in the US. It boasts wide, sandy shores, crystal clear water, gentle waves, and unbelievable weather. Not only are the beach conditions incredible, but South Beach is a great place to people watch. To hang out with locals, TGW recommends chilling by 2nd & 3rd street. Lincoln Road: Lincoln Road is
is an open-air pedestrian mall, considered South Beach's premiere shopping area.
It is located in between 16th Street and 17th Street and spans the beach in an east-west direction.

Ocean Drive: Ocean Drive is the easternmost street in South Beach, and stems from south of First to 15th Street, running in a north-south direction. Ocean Drive is responsible for the South Beach aesthetic that most out-of-town visitors expect. It is a popular tourist area, including the famous, yet predominantly local, Pearl and Nikki Beach night spots. It is also home to several prominent restaurants (including "News Cafe," "Mango's," and the MTV-popularized "Clevelander") and is the site of Gianni Versace's former ocean front mansion.

| Washington Avenue: Washington Ave
is one of the best-known streets in South Beach. Running parallel with Ocean and Collins, Washington is notorious for having some of the world's largest and most popular nightclub. During "season" (October 15 to May 15th) the street is jammed with traffic until early in the morning (as late as 6 am) every night of the week. |
